How Do We Do It?

Our fertilizer is derived from natural chemicals and residues that are designated to grow vibrant, abundant and productive plants.  It is also designed to circumvent unfavorable bacteria growth, reduce leaching and acid buildup.  These are just a few of the many common problems associated with commercial fertilizers that we expect to curtail.
Our fertilizers mineral sources are derived from plant residues and cold water ocean kelp.  Glacial bays receive a year round water run off from rivers, streams and creeks.  As this water passes through the rocks, boulders and pebbles, it picks up a series of minerals.  These minerals wash into the glacial bays where the kelp plants are waiting to absorb the nutrients.  During the summer months, these kelp plants can grow more than 8 feet per day.

Our nitrogen sources are derived from urea and cold water ocean kelp.  Nitrogen components make up more than 65% of healthy plant tissues.  Pure urea (no biruit) is one of the only salt free sources for nitrogen.  The kelp plant has developed natural chemical matrixes that sandwich existing salts, taking salts out of plant and soil interactions.  Ocean kelp is also loaded with favorable hormones and enzymes boosting the plant productivity.

Proper balance and bonding between the primary, secondary and trace elements is necessary.  Dr. Benson's finished product has been bonded in correct proportions during manufacturing which maintains a consistent quality of nutrients.  Example: phosphorous (primary) tends to be attracted to calcium (secondary) which then has an attraction to manganese (trace).  As this ion moves through this process, it completes the reaction with minimal open charges.  The fewer the open charges, the faster the plants can uptake the nutrients.  Most conventional fertilizers offer these elements as divided individuals.  Water is then added with the hope that some favorable bonding will take place before leaching occurs.

Dr. Benson's Natural Mix is actually a living organism.  When you open the bottle, the added oxygen causes the formula to change colors, gradually darkening from golden to dark brown.  You're feeding your greenery with 17 essential elements for a healthy robust plant, once found only in the rain forest, and now in Dr. Benson's Natural Mix.  Your plants will thank you with their lavish color and vitality, as well as their abundant growth.  Unlike traditional fertilizers, Dr. Benson's won't cause plants to peak early and then decline or burn.  And it won't cause toxic leaching into our ground water, lakes, rivers and ocean bays.
